On Sabbath, February 22, 2020, Laurelbrook’s Sabbath services began with a song service led by Wilmer (freshman) and Jaret (sophomore), accompanied on the piano by Jacqueline Miller. The opening song was “The Savior Is Waiting”.
Itzel (junior) welcomed everyone. Angel (sophomore) had prayer and read the scripture reading. Mark (senior) told about some of his canvassing experiences. At one house, he met an Indian doctor who wanted Mark’s non-religious books.
Iram (senior) and Leon (sophomore) collected the Laurelbrook Missions Offering. This offering goes to support Laurelbrook mission trips. Wilmer played a violin solo, accompanied by Felix (senior) on the piano for special music.
Raynald Sajous had the theme talk, emphasizing the other lessons we often overlook when we study the various prophecies in Daniel. For example, the image in Daniel 2 was an idol, which was man-made. The stone that destroyed the image was made by God. God’s creation destroyed man’s creation.
Raynald Sajous had the closing prayer. The congregation divided into two Sabbath School classes - a class in the main church sanctuary taught by Clayton Brandt and a student class taught by Scott Sterling “behind the glass” at the back of the church sanctuary.
