Boys' Dorm Has Sabbath School
.

Sabbath services on April 29, 2017 began with a piano introit by Jairit (senior). Moises (9th grader) and Keonwoo (senior) led the song service, accompanied by Jairit on the piano. The opening song was “Sound the Battle Cry”. Cesar (senior) welcomed everyone.

Elyjah (sophomore) had prayer and read the scripture reading. George (sophomore) read a story from Gabon, Africa.  A girl had a baby before marriage, but her mother wouldn’t help her as a punishment.  It was impossible for the girl to continue her education and take care of the child.  But the mother eventually relented and helped with the baby after someone intervened and talked with the mother. Since there is only one secondary school in the entire country, the 13th Sabbath Offering will built a second secondary school in the country of Gabon.

Eddie (9th grader) then called for the Laurelbrook Missions Offering, which was collected by Arlin and Samuel (seniors) and which goes to support Laurelbrook mission trips.  Samuel then played a piano solo for special music.

Thanos (sophomore) had the superintendent’s remarks on where your treasure is.  Jacob (9th grader) had the closing prayer. The congregation then became three Sabbath School classes, one taught by Elizabeth Castle,  one taught at the back of the church sanctuary “behind the glass” by Bob and Michelle Gustafson, and one taught by Hillis Jeffries in the CNA house.

The juniors are on a combined class camping trip in Kentucky and helping with needed projects at Historic Adventist Village in Battle Creek, Michigan.
