Rodney Herra Talks About Surrender

The church service in the Laurelbrook Seventh-day Adventist Church on May 21, 2016 began with an introit by Mark Kent on the piano.  Elizabeth Castle had the personal ministries department; Stanton Rolle made the announcements.
The platform people walked in during the introit.  The congregation then sang a hymn. Stanton Rolle then had the Morning Prayer; the congregation sang “Hear Our Prayer”. Mari (9th grader) then called for the offering, which was for the local church budget.  John and Daryll Ellis then collected the morning offerings.  The congregation sang the doxology, and Stanton Rolle prayed for the offering.
Matthew (sophomore) then read Psalm 37:5 “Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.”
Paige and Andrew Sansonsetti then sang a vocal duet for special music. Rodney Herra discussed the topic “Surrender” . The congregation sang a closing hymn.   Rodney Herra had the closing prayer.

Note: this article is not as detailed as usual because Microsoft elected to upgrade my laptop as I was preparing to use it to write this church article and then refused to allow me to use it until it was connected to the Internet, which was not available in the church.
The academy choir was away giving concerts so there were about ten academy students present.
