Elliott and the Seniors Have the Sabbath School Program
.

Sabbath services on February 6, 2016 began with a song service led by Lorealle  and Jessica (seniors), accompanied on the piano by Min Sterling. The opening song was “We Know Not the Hour”.

Stephany (senior) had prayer and read John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Heidi (senior) welcomed everyone and read a mission story from Brazil about a person who watched Adventist TV programming and read himself into the faith. She then called for the Laurelbrook Missions Offering, which was collected by Eric (senior) and Elyjah (freshman).

Elliott (senior) had the superintendent’s remarks on his family’s experience in Nigeria. In Nigeria, people like to eat bush rats.  One young person caught a cobra in his shirt instead of a rat. He took off running. An old man tried to kill the snake but was instead bitten himself; he died.

Lorealle sang a vocal solo for special music, accompanying herself on the piano. Elliott then had closing prayer.  The congregation then became three Sabbath School classes, one taught by Elizabeth Castle in the church sanctuary, one taught by Bob Gustafson “behind the glass” in the church, and one taught by Rich Sutton in the CNA house.

Personnel Other Than Students:

Bob Gustafson – local church elder / Laurelbrook vice-president / farm manager
Min Sterling – wife of Scott Sterling, a teacher and staff member / currently caring for her parents in Collegedale
