Lorealle Tells What She Learned on the Mexico Trip

Sabbath services on January 23, 2016 began with a song service led by Brenda Herra and Lorealle (senior), accompanied on the piano by Fawna Sutton. The opening song was “Jesus Paid It All”.   Jessica had prayer and read “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Hillis Jeffries had a few thoughts as a Christian about the necessity of greeting people. No matter what goes on in the world we have a place where we can come together to meet the Lord.

Inna (senior) read a mission story from Brazil about a man who was raised by his grandparents. At age 11 he decided not to go to church anymore and slid into a deep depression with no friends. Then he discovered a virtual world in the internet, but no day the internet deserted him.  So he surfed the TV channels till God said for him to stop at one particular channel, the Hope Channel in Brazil.  Now he was addicted to this channel and became a Seventh-day Adventist in his room. One day the TV preacher appealed to all who weren’t baptized to do so. To be continued…

The Laurelbrook Missions Offering, which goes to help students and staff members go on mission trips, was collected by Elliott and Eric (seniors). Lorealle had a few thoughts about the recent mission trip; God used the trip to bring her closer to Him.  Then she sang a vocal solo, accompanying herself on the piano.

Hillis Jeffries then had closing prayer.  The congregation then became three Sabbath School classes, one taught by James Brenneman in the church sanctuary, one taught by Bob and Michelle Gustafson “behind the glass” in the church, and one taught by Rich Sutton in the CNA lobby.
