Lorealle Discusses Her Conversion Experience
.

Sabbath services on October 3, 2015 began with a song service led by Min Sterling, Michelle Gustafson, and Chelsea (sophomore), accompanied on the piano by Cheyna Ashe. The opening song was “Nearer My God to Thee”.   Adiv (sophomore) welcomed everyone and had prayer.

Maria (9th grader) then read a mission story from Malawi about a prisoner who escaped but was later was apprehended and sent back to prison and was led to the Lord. She then called for the Laurelbrook Missions Offering, which was collected by Michael (9th grader) and Jaden.  TJ (9th grader) and Cheyna Ashe then had special music.

Lorealle (senior) had the superintendent’s remarks about her boyfriend. Jadin (9th grader) then had closing prayer.  The congregation then became three Sabbath School classes, one taught by James Brenneman in the church sanctuary and one taught by Bob and Michelle Gustafson “behind the glass” in the church, and one taught by Hillis in the nearby CNA building.

Following are a few notes from the theme talk by Lorealle:
  1. John 14:18 “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” Jesus is her boyfriend.
  2. In 2013 she let God come into her life but not fully. She wanted to do whatever she wanted.
  3. The summer of 2014 brought canvassing and a closer walk with Jesus, but she hung around with the wrong people.
  4. Finally, she decided to come to God fully and deleted files on her device that wouldn’t help her in her Christian walk.
  5. But God kept telling her through morning devotionals at the school that she should love everyone God has made.  One person in particular offended her; God kept telling her to forgive this person.
  6. She went and talked with the person she didn’t like, but she went and told the person she was sorry.  Immediately, a great burden was lifted from her shoulders.
  7. At home she started making things right, too.
  8. Let our lives tell Jesus’ story. Let Jesus take your yoke today.
